TOURIST VISA - 1)Tourism trip; visits to relatives and/or friends; 2)cientists, professors or researchers attending cultural, technological or scientific conferences, seminars or meetings (services provided must not be paid by organizations/corporations in Brazil, except reimbursement for expenses or per diem allowances); 3) Unpaid participation in athletic or performing arts events or competitions.
TEMPORARY VISA II - 1)Business trips, except when the trip involves the provision of technical assistance services of any nature (in which case a Vitem-V is mandatory); 2) Travel for media coverage or filming. (If the filming expedition is intended for reasons other than journalism or newsgathering, issuing the visa depends on prior authorization from the Ministry of Culture in Brazil. For such, the applicant must find a Brazilian co-producer who shall obtain that authorization). 3) Flight/ship crewmembers not holding an international crew card; 4) Adoption purposes.
